Dia Duit (Hello), I’m Mika, the face behind the portraits. Here’s a little section about me and my art/life journey that’s led me to where I am now. I’m an Irish Artist who has been based between Dublin and NYC for the past few years and I love drawing your pets!

Growing up I always loved art but it was the pause in life we all experienced during the pandemic that brought me back to it. In 2020, I started drawing again and was commissioned to do a huge range of art from embroidery to watercolours of houses to people, fruit and then my first dog commission! Since then I have mainly worked on dog portraits constantly learning new techniques, evolving and developing my skills.

As a dog owner and lover, I adore drawing your dogs. I feel very lucky to understand the special bond that pets and their owners have and this motivates me to do the best job I can for every single portrait.
